Guess now we are all journalists, freedom watchers and witnesses!
With the increasing use of smartphones and iPhones, as well as an incredible easy way of getting content online or sharing it with friends makes the mobile phone (in recording mode at least) a serious worry to the authorities, especially if they are abusing their power in the first place. The mobile phone has been instrumental in recording atrocities in Sri Lanka, Syria and various bits from the “Occupy Movement”. Like it or not the new mobile phones are changing how we see the world and is leveling he field between journalists and citizens.
I feel there is a real risk of increasing tension between authorities and the public.
With that in mind its well worth setting up your apps to share the footage/stills before you need them and maybe even download a few dedicated apps as well
